lack thereof) of being listed on these pay sites.
putting a "links" page on your site. A "links" page
is a mini directory of links to other sites your visitors may be
interested in. If you have a "links" page, make sure that you
or your webmaster updates it frequently - adding new links and taking
off dead links.

promotion and marketing strategies include listing your web site on
internet malls, marketplaces, and on-line bulletin boards. You can also
purchase banner ads on other web sites. There are many ways to advertise
on the web - some are free, others are not.

Equally, if not more important, is to promote and market your web site Off-Line. The world wide web has millions of web sites with thousands being added daily. Don't totally rely on visitors finding your site on the web through on-line search engines and directories. Follow these 9 steps to achieve success in your off-line web site promotion:
|1.||Have your web site address printed on
everything. This includes your business cards, stationary, letterhead,
invoices, company/organization brochures, product brochures, any
promotional gifts you give away like pens, key chains, coasters, rulers,
etc. Instead of reprinting your current materials, consider placing
stickers (printed with your web site address) on all of your literature,
business cards, etc. When it is time to reorder, make sure your web
address is printed on those items. Also, don't make someone have to pull
out their magnifying glass to see your web site address on your
advertisement pieces. Place it in a prominent spot and make it stand
|2.||Would you and/or someone you know like to
be walking billboards? Have t-shirts, sweatshirts, and/or hats made up
with your web address & company logo on them.
|3.||In some areas, there are roving billboard
companies that will drive around town with a large sign (like a
billboard) on either side of their truck. If you have ever seen one of
these on the road, you just know you had to look - didn't you?
